Best Retatrutide Vendors: Who Actually Sells Reta, and How to Judge a Source

Retatrutide vendors all sell unapproved powder: Lilly makes the only real retatrutide and sells none. How the supply chain works, what to check, red flags.

There are no legitimate retatrutide vendors yet. Retatrutide is Eli Lilly's drug, Lilly sells none, and its September 2026 release says it is "legally available only to participants in Lilly's clinical trials." Every website and overseas factory selling "reta" is selling unapproved powder that Lilly didn't make, so the lists of the best retatrutide vendors rank sellers of the same unregulated product. What you can judge is how much each seller lets you check.

1company running retatrutide's Phase 3 trials: Eli Lilly, which sells none to the public (Lilly FAQ, July 2026)
14,000+websites, ads, posts and listings marketing retatrutide that Lilly reported, in more than 100 countries (Aug 2026)
21%of 48 GLP-1 ingredient factories the FDA evaluated were noncompliant (FDA import alert, Sept 21, 2026)
8 of 9top-ranking vendor lists we checked on Sept 29, 2026 earn commissions from sellers; the 9th is run by a seller

Key takeaways

  • Retatrutide is Eli Lilly's drug, and Lilly says it cannot be legally sold or marketed for human use, so every vendor sells something Lilly didn't make.
  • Many online vendors resell powder from factories they don't name, which is why the batch test report matters more than the brand on the vial.
  • The only regulator lab test we found of a vial sold as retatrutide, by Australia's TGA in September 2026, found no retatrutide and a large dose of semaglutide.
  • Nobody has published storage or shelf-life data for retatrutide powder; guides we read give anything from 3 months to 2 years in the fridge, with no study behind them.
  • A best-vendor ranking can score a seller's paperwork, but it can't tell you what's in the vial you receive.

If you're already looking at sellers, the checks further down matter more than any ranking, and none of them turns a vendor vial into Lilly's product. The legal routes to Lilly's drug are on our where to buy retatrutide page.

What company makes retatrutide?

Eli Lilly and Company. Retatrutide is Lilly's once-weekly injection that acts on 3 hormone receptors (GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon), developed under the code LY3437943. It's investigational: Lilly's FAQ, last updated July 2026, says no regulator has approved it and that nobody outside a Lilly-sponsored trial should take anything claiming to be retatrutide.

Lilly's July 23, 2026 trial release goes further: retatrutide "cannot be legally sold or marketed for human use." No approved version exists anywhere, and there's no generic, because there's no approved original to copy. So when a vendor calls its product "retatrutide," "reta," "GLP-3" or "R-10," the name tells you what the seller claims is inside. It doesn't tell you who made it.

Where retatrutide vendors get their powder

Most vendors don't make anything. The usual chain has 3 or 4 links: a factory that makes the peptide in bulk, often a trading company that resells it, then a vendor that fills, labels and ships small vials, sometimes with a clinic or a group chat at the end. Vendors almost never name the factory. Lilly's August 2026 release says the illegal retatrutide that clinics and self-styled suppliers sell is "frequently made by unregulated foreign manufacturers."

The FDA has looked hard at the start of that chain for the approved drugs in this family. Its import alert on GLP-1 ingredients, revised September 21, 2026, says the ingredients US pharmacies used to compound these drugs during the shortages came from manufacturers "around the world, including China, India, and Europe." The FDA evaluated 48 of those ingredient sites and found 21% noncompliant with manufacturing rules or unresponsive to its records requests. It also describes sites that register as GLP-1 manufacturers, offer ingredients for import, refuse to hand over records, then deregister, all within a short time. Those were registered suppliers in the US drug supply chain, the more regulated end of the market. The FDA says retatrutide can't be used in compounding at all, so powder sold straight to consumers sits outside even that system.

Lilly's August 12, 2026 release gives a sense of the scale. It reported more than 14,000 websites, ads, social media posts and listings marketing retatrutide in more than 100 countries to the platforms hosting them, referred more than 200 people and businesses to the FDA, the Justice Department, state attorneys general and licensing boards, and filed 6 new lawsuits against US compounding pharmacies, medical spas and online sellers.

Retatrutide vendor types compared

"Vendor" covers several different businesses, and they differ most in what a buyer can check. The last column comes from the regulator pages in our sources.

"Kit" means different things to different sellers. On September 29, 2026, one China-based listing we opened was titled "Retatrutide 10mg," but it sold by the kit, and a kit was 10 vials of 10 mg, so 100 mg in all. It asked for Bitcoin and promised to resend any parcel that got lost. Another seller's "kit" was a 5-pack of 5 mg vials, and a ranking page priced 10-vial kits. Group buys come up often on r/Retatrutide, where people describe pooling an order and paying for one lab test between them. Those are forum reports, not something we could verify.

What the best-vendor rankings leave out

On September 29, 2026, we searched "retatrutide vendors" on DuckDuckGo and Bing and opened the 9 top results that ranked or priced named sellers. Eight disclosed that they earn commissions from vendors, and at least 2 printed discount codes next to their top picks. The ninth says it's published by the company behind the vendor it ranks first.

That doesn't make every ranking wrong. The better ones score the right things, such as batch-specific reports that you can check on the testing lab's own website. But the gaps were consistent. Only 3 of the 9 mentioned endotoxin testing at all. In the text we could load, none mentioned the TGA's lab test of a vial sold as retatrutide, the liver injury cases in Victoria or the UK pen seizures.

Our read: a ranking can tell you which seller shows more paperwork. It can't tell you what's in the vial that arrives at your door, and 8 of the 9 lists we opened are paid when you buy.

How to judge a retatrutide source

None of these checks makes an unapproved vial safe or legal. They screen out the sellers who aren't even trying, and the order matters, because most of them work only before you pay:

  1. Ask for the batch report before paying. It needs an independent lab's name, a date, and a lot number.
  2. Check the report on the lab's own website, using its verification code. A PDF hosted only by the seller proves little.
  3. Read what was tested: identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC, the measured amount in mg against the label, and endotoxin or sterility results where the seller paid for them.
  4. Match the lot number on the report to the one printed on your vial when it arrives.
  5. Look for a business you can identify: a legal company name, a street address and a way to reach a person.
  6. Note how you're asked to pay. A seller that takes only crypto leaves you no chargeback if nothing arrives.

Red flags that end the search: no batch report, one report reused across batches and sizes, claims that the product is approved or "pharmaceutical grade," Lilly's name or pen designs on the packaging, a price far below other listings, and a promise to reship lost or seized parcels, which tells you the seller expects some not to arrive. Our retatrutide testing guide walks through a report line by line.

On price, the ranking pages we opened on September 29, 2026 listed a single 10 mg vial at anything from $42 to $295 before discount codes, and the middle of the roughly 50 prices we counted was about $92. At 12 mg a week, the top dose in Lilly's Phase 3 trials, 4 weeks take 48 mg, or about 5 of those vials: roughly $210 at the cheapest listing and $460 at the middle price. Price tells you little about quality in either direction. If you're comparing listings for retatrutide for sale, the monthly math at trial doses is on our retatrutide price page.

What regulators found when things went wrong

These are the regulator actions that name retatrutide, oldest first, as of September 2026.

DateRegulatorWhat happened
Dec 2024FDA (US)4 warning letters posted to companies selling unapproved semaglutide, tirzepatide or retatrutide
Oct 2025MHRA (UK)More than 2,000 unlicensed retatrutide and tirzepatide pens seized at a Northampton site
Mar 2026FDA (US)Warning letter says a seller's retatrutide is an unapproved new drug
Apr 2026Health CanadaRetatrutide named among seized unauthorized injectable peptides
May 2026MHRA (UK)About 12,000 doses seized near Northampton at a site believed to make retatrutide and tirzepatide products; 2 arrests
Jun 2026Victoria (Australia)6 cases of acute liver injury since January 2026 in people who used products labeled retatrutide
Aug 2026FDA (US)Warning letter over a product sold as "GLP-3 Reta (Retatrutide)"
Sep 2026TGA (Australia)Vial sold as retatrutide contained no retatrutide, and semaglutide at about 8 times the level in approved products

The TGA case is the one lab test by a regulator that we could find. A person had uncontrollable vomiting and a torn esophagus and needed hospital care, and the vial held a different drug at a dose far above anything approved. Victoria's alert says the liver injuries were possibly linked to a contaminant and that all products labeled retatrutide are at risk, including ones sold as "Reta," "R-10" and "R-20."

Health Canada's April 2026 advisory says unauthorized peptides can hold too much, too little or none of the active ingredient, and contaminants such as solvents, heavy metals, particles of glass or plastic, bacteria and endotoxins (fever-causing fragments of bacteria). Dosing mistakes add another layer, because vendor powder has to be mixed and measured by hand.

Get urgent care for severe belly pain that won't ease (with or without vomiting), vomiting that won't stop or keeps you from holding down fluids, yellow skin or eyes, dark urine or unusual bruising, a hot, red, spreading area around the injection site or a fever, or swelling of the face or throat or trouble breathing. Take the vial with you and say where it came from.

How to store retatrutide powder, and how long it lasts

Nobody has published this for retatrutide. Lilly hasn't released storage conditions for its trial product, and no vendor we found has published a stability study for its powder. Buying guides fill the gap with confident numbers that don't agree: on September 29, 2026, one said 6 to 12 months in the fridge and 1 to 2 years frozen, and another said 12 to 24 months in the fridge and up to 48 months frozen. Neither cited a stability study.

What does exist is class evidence from approved drugs in the same family. The Zepbound (tirzepatide) label says to keep pens and vials in the fridge at 2 to 8°C (36 to 46°F), away from light, not frozen, and allows single-dose ones up to 21 days unrefrigerated at up to 30°C (86°F). That's a finished liquid, not dry powder, and it's tirzepatide data. The FDA's GLP-1 page adds 2 rules written for compounded GLP-1 vials: don't use an injectable GLP-1 drug that arrives warm or poorly refrigerated, and throw out a multi-dose vial 28 days after first use, even if some is left.

So the cautious default for powder is the fridge, in its box, with the arrival date written on it. No published test backs the expiry date on a vendor label. Mixed vials follow different rules, covered in our reconstitution guide.

When there will be a real retatrutide vendor

If the FDA approves retatrutide, the first real vendor will be a pharmacy filling a prescription for Lilly's product. Lilly said in July 2026 that it is finishing the manufacturing and quality package the FDA needs and plans to submit retatrutide for US approval in the first quarter of 2027. An FDA review follows, and Lilly hasn't announced a launch date or a price.

Until then, 2 routes lead to Lilly's drug: a clinical trial, or single-patient expanded access, which your doctor requests from Lilly for adults who can't join a trial, have a BMI of 35 or more despite the highest available dose of a weight drug, and have at least 2 serious obesity-related complications. Our how to get retatrutide guide covers both.

Our read: if cost is what's pushing you toward a vendor, the gap is smaller than it looks. A month of vendor vials at 12 mg came to about $460 at the middle listed price above. Self-pay Zepbound on LillyDirect runs $299 to $449 a month depending on dose if you refill within 45 days, and Wegovy pens are $349 a month on NovoCare after an introductory offer, both checked in late September 2026 and both needing a prescription.

Frequently asked questions

What company makes retatrutide?

Eli Lilly. Retatrutide is Lilly's molecule, code LY3437943, and it's still in Phase 3 trials. Lilly doesn't sell it or supply it to pharmacies, so anything sold under the name comes from someone else.

Which retatrutide vendor is best?

No vendor sells an approved or verified product, so there's no safe answer to which one is best. What you can compare is paperwork: a batch-specific report from an independent lab that you can check on the lab's own site, and a batch number that matches your vial. Even a good report only describes the batch that was tested.

How do you store retatrutide powder?

Lilly hasn't published storage conditions for retatrutide, and no seller has published a stability study. The approved injectable drugs in the same family are kept in the fridge at 2 to 8°C, away from light, so that's the cautious default. The FDA advises against using any injectable GLP-1 drug that arrives warm.

How long does reta last in powder form?

Nobody knows from published data. Buying guides we read on September 29, 2026 gave anything from 3 months in the fridge to 48 months frozen, and none of them cited a stability study. Treat the expiry date on a vendor label as the seller's guess.

Is it safe to buy retatrutide from China?

No route to retatrutide outside Lilly's trials and expanded access is legal, and buying direct from overseas adds customs seizure and fewer ways to trace the seller. The FDA can detain imported GLP-1 ingredients from factories it hasn't cleared. A US address doesn't tell you where the powder was made either, and vendors rarely say.

How long does one reta pen last?

Lilly sells no retatrutide pen, so any pen sold as reta didn't come from Lilly. The UK's MHRA seized more than 2,000 unlicensed retatrutide and tirzepatide pens from one Northampton site in October 2025. There's no way to know the dose inside such a pen, so there's no honest answer to how long it lasts.
